About In Step with the Master Teacher

In Step with the Master Teacher is the children’s ministry training arm of Bible Centred Ministries International.

BCM International is a Bible-centred ministry dedicated to reaching children and developing churches worldwide. We are truly a global ministry with over 700 full-time staff ministering in over 50 countries and on 5 continents. The vast majority of our BCM personnel are nationals ministering in their own cultures.

In BCM Children’s Ministries, we seek to reach and disciple children through Bible clubs, camps, curriculum and creative outreach ministries as well as our In Step with the Master Teacher training project.

BCM is an active participant in 1 for 50. The vision of the 1 for 50 movement is that every child, in every community around the world would have someone who can help them know and follow Jesus.

In 2000, BCM International recognised the need for an international, discipleship-based, ready-to-use children’s ministry training programme.

Over the next five years, 60+ children’s ministry leaders representing more than 20 nations participated in developing and field-testing the ISMT programme to ensure that it would be globally relevant.

In 2005, ISMT was published in English. We could not have anticipated the worldwide explosion that followed.

ISMT is available in 10 languages with many more in progress.
ISMT has been used to equip thousands of new teachers in over 40 countries on 5 continents
Hundreds of new children’s ministry trainers have been prepared at one of our Train the Trainer workshops.
